A confessional for those who follow spiritual rituals and those who are seekers, the ones who question everything and still show up.

Tarot cards, an owl, wheel, and flowers, on a floral cloth with a lit candle and crystals. Cards read "Wheel of Fortune" and "Temperance."

As a child, I was quiet and introverted until my late teens. Everything I repressed and resented became the spark that ignited my rebellious nature. I didn’t rebel for attention. I rebelled because I couldn’t agree with the things I was forced to perform for appearances or approval.

I was the “why” child. Always questioning. Always sensing something beneath the surface. I couldn’t put my finger on it, but I knew something about the world wasn’t right.

By my 30s, I discovered my psychic gifts: claircognizance, clairvoyance, and clairsentience. When the spiritual awakening hit, everything I’d felt was confirmed. The rituals I once feared became sacred tools. I stopped hiding my rebellion, it was never a flaw. It was my blueprint.

Here’s how my spiritual rituals and rebellion show up today:

• I live both timelines: sacred hustle and 3D grind. I create, consult, question. I don’t curate my essence for approval.

• I’m spiritual, but I swear like a sailor. Truth shows up barefoot and loud. Silence is my safest prayer.

• I’m spiritual, but I was initiated into early menopause at 44. I roll my eyes at toxic positivity and let messy movies do the shadow work. Sometimes the spiritual ritual is pyjamas and ice cream.

Here’s what I’ve learned:

Shutting down my intuition, sixth sense, or rebellion is shutting down who I am. I spent years hiding behind perceptions I was raised to resist. Now, I trust my truth, even in my late 40s.

You’re allowed to be spiritual and spicy.
